meet the young professionals who operate ad 2 milwaukee:
Izamar Virafuentes (she/her)
#whyad2: i initially joined because i wanted to mix up my routine, meet new people, and challenge myself beyond my full-time job. and let me tell you, i got so much more than that! this club fosters a collaborative, inspiring, and safe environment for all. i’ve unlocked new skills, made great friends, and strengthened my leadership skills through my board positions. what also stood out for me was their public service team. this is where members can gain real-world experience by helping run a pro bono campaign for a local nonprofit in need. so if i can do what i love, help young creatives thrive, and support the nonprofits of milwaukee, all at the same time, then i’m all for it!
Natalee Kashou (she/her)
immediate past president
#whyad2: i joined ad 2 milwaukee in 2015, with little to no professional experience, because i wanted to have something productive on my resume. as i grew with the organization, i’ve stayed because of the relationships i’ve built through the ad 2 network, both professionally and personally. i’ve met some of my best friends through ad 2 milwaukee. now, i like to think of ad 2 as a playground for young people in our industry. it’s a safe place where we can enhance our craft and get creative with a team of like-minded individuals, who each bring to the table different skills, backgrounds, and interests.
Brooke Curry (she/her)
#whyad2: i wanted to be a part of ad 2 milwaukee because i am currently searching for roles that will be the best fit for me in the advertising world after i graduate. this organization has been, and will continue to be, great in providing connections and experiences to help me accomplish this goal. i joined the board to become more involved and to maximize my time in this club as an (aspiring) industry professional.

Anne Koepp (she/her)
vice president / membership chair
#whyad2: i was first introduced to ad 2 milwaukee by a past president, amanda klopfenstein. i joined because i had an interest in growing my professional network and trying my hand at different skills i haven’t used in the workplace. since joining, i have made incredibly meaningful connections that i believe are the greatest benefit of all. i have learned so much from both our board and regular members, and consider many to be dear friends. it’s amazing to have a supportive group who knows exactly where i am in life, both professionally and personally, and can offer great advice and help me grow in my career!
Alyssa Mendez (she/her)
#whyad2: i decided to join ad2mke because it just made sense. i’m a big believer in everything happening for a reason. because my career does not involve being in the advertising industry yet, i knew joining would be a way i could start getting involved in creative processes and get my foot in the door. plus i have met some awesome people on the board that i am extremely grateful to have as resources and friends in life!
Daniela Mette (she/her)
diversity, inclusion, equity chair / education chair
#whyad2: i strongly believe this could be a great opportunity to understand the ad world from a different perspective. i want to bring diversity to the table. i would love to educate the other members and facilitate those difficult conversations around diversity. but most importantly, i want to be an agent of change and help minorities explore advertising from a more inviting environment.
rise to the challenge. join the board or a committee!
open positions: events chair & public service chair
